Hi there! Iā€™m Grace and I am a photographer based in Vancouver, Canada. I was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area in California and made the move to Vancouver to study documentary film at Capilano University. After graduating in 2020 I worked in the documentary film world and fell in love with storytelling. I decided to combine that storytelling with my love for still images.

This background has deeply influenced my approach to photography, and I strive to capture the essence of the people I photograph with creative and authentic images. I love to get to know subjects before getting out a camera so I can create something truly unique with them.

I have always been drawn to the power of photography and I love using it as a medium to creatively capture raw, authentic moments. I have participated in and documented numerous protests and movements around environment, social change, and human rights. My work covers a wide range and I have recently focused more on music, particularly the hardcore punk scene and I spend most of my weekends at shows.

I shoot both digital photography and film photography with medium format and 35mm film cameras. I particularly love the look and feel that only comes from shooting on film, and how the analogue process has made me a more conscious photographer. I am constantly looking towards expanding my capabilities and growing as a creative photographer.
